The Best Type 99 Class In Vanguard

Japanese Engineering mastered

With Vanguard now in the wild for players to enjoy, users are exploring the many weapons available and there's been some familiar faces when it and some other weapons' that players may have forgotten from previous games such as the Type 99.

The Japanese Sniper has been seen in other CODs such as World at War under the name "Arisaka." But now, it's become one of the premier weapons to use in Vanguard.

Here's the best loadout for the Kar98K in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Best Type 99 Class for Vanguard

With a staggering, 10 attachments to pick on your weapon, you're truly spoilt for choice.
When choosing your attachments, you'll want to consider what attachments will improve this weapons weak areas and how you tend to play.
The Type 99 offers players a wide array of useable attachments in most categories and the ones you choose are going to dictate how the weapon plays out.
Whether or not you're looking to push the mantle with the Type 99, or sit back and reign fire on them from distance, you can do it all with this Sniper.

Attachemnts

  • Muzzle
    • Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel
    • Sakura 776mm
  • Optic
    • SVT-40 Pu Scope 3-6X
  • Stock
    • Shiraishi Percision
  • Underbarrel
    • Bayonet
  • Magazine
    • 6,5mm Sakura 3 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type
    • Lengthened
  • Rear Grip
    • Leather Grip
  • Proficiency
    • Vital
  • Kit
    • Reach
This setup is tailored to best suited for a balanced playstyle while using this rifle, and some of the attachment we're going to run over reflect this.
We've selected a bulk of these attachments as they either contribute to the damage of the Type 99, at all ranges and there's even a little something special for up close and personal.
There's some Muzzle attachments that are decent for the Kar, but we've chosen the Mercury Silencer, simply due to the sound suppression and recoil control it gives you.
Your Barrel choices are limited, and with the Sakura 776mm you'll be granted some additional bullet velo and range, along with accuracy, a great choice for this sniper.
Your Optic comes down to preference in my opinion versatility that the 3-6X scope offers, it's a no brainer here.
For Stock, the options are immense, and the one we've chosen in the Shiraishi Precision will greatly benefit all movement and accuracy categories. At the small trade off of not being as mobile as may be with a stock, but we make up for this with certain perks we'll talk about later.
The Underbarrel option is one that's subject to change depending if you want to rock it or not. But, we believe that using the Bayonet with the Type 99 is a must. Simply due to the fact that the reach of the Bayonet in Vanguard is extreme, and if enemies get up in your space, you'll have no problem knifing them.
The Magazine attachments are rather poor for the Type99, and while the 3 Round Mags may seem weird to use. It really isn't that terrible, as three bullets will net you three kills if you hit your shots, and these mags also offer increased reload speed!
We've gone with the Lengthened rounds for this setup, none of the other options are really useable. But, if you want, you can experiment with the FMJ or Subsonic rounds!
More ADS buffs comes into play with the Rear Grip choice we've opted for with the Leather Grip.
Your Proficiency also has viable options, but Vital is going to give an increase to critical hit range while using the Type 99. So, it appears to be an easy choice here, but you could opt for other ones such as Discard or Hardscope.
Your Kit option is going to be Reach, as this will increase the effective range of the Bayonet.

Secondary

I would go with the Machine Pistol, simply because it's regarded as one of the best pistols within Vanguard. As well, you're going to need something fast if you run out of ammo in a pinch.

However, with the Type 99 you can opt to use Overkill which allows you to take another primary weapon as a secondary. If you go with this route, we recommend using the STG-44 or the MP40.

Lethal & Tactical

  • Throwing Knife
  • S-Mine

The Throwing Knife is a classic COD lethal item, and it's always a decent shout to have it equipped while using a sniper. As you never know, you may hit a gnarly trick shot every now and then.

While on the flipside, the S-Mine is a cheeky explosive item that you can setup at certain clusters around the map, or behind you to catch enemies trying to flank.

Perks

  • Ghost
  • Tracker
  • Overkill/Lightweight

Ghost will keep you off the enemy radar while is always viable at any given time.

Tracker allows you to see where enemies footsteps are appearing while moving around, giving you a bit of insight into where you may find your next kill!

The third perk is down to Overkill or Lightweight, both are great with the latter making up for some of the lost movement speed you're going to have with certain attachments we've chosen.

Field Upgrade

  • Dead Silence

This Field Upgrade is a classic COD perk, making you silent across the map so that enemies are lost when it comes to finding out what angle you're coming from!
